Qui sommes-nous ?
Hydrovinci est l’association de construction navale du Pôle Léonard de Vinci, fondée en 2017 par des élèves ingénieurs de l’ESILV. Composée uniquement d’étudiants, elle a une ambition claire : rassembler des passionnés autour d’un projet concret et porteur de sens. De la conception à la mise à flot, on construit, on teste, on progresse, ensemble.
Projet n°1 — Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC)
Notre projet historique consiste à développer une alternative aux systèmes de propulsion classiques, en imaginant le yachting du futur propulsé par des énergies renouvelables. L’aboutissement de ce travail d’une année : une semaine de compétition à Monaco, où notre bateau est testé sur quatre épreuves : slalom, endurance, vitesse, et la course finale du championnat où les bateaux s’affrontent en duo.
Projet n°2 — HYDRA (MATE ROV Competition)
Notre second projet nous emmène cette fois aux États-Unis, dans le cadre de la MATE ROV Competition, une compétition internationale de robotique sous-marine qui réunit chaque année des équipes universitaires et scolaires du monde entier. L’objectif : concevoir et fabriquer un ROV (drone sous-marin) capable d’effectuer des prélèvements sous l’eau et des prises de mesures à l’aide de technologie avancées. Tout au long de l’année, l’équipe travaille sur l’électronique embarquée, la mécanique, la programmation et le pilotage, avant de défendre son projet devant un jury technique lors de la compétition.
Une équipe, pas juste un projet
Au-delà de l’aspect technique, Hydrovinci a pour ambition de créer une véritable cohésion entre ses membres. Tout au long de l’année, des événements sont organisés pour que chacun apprenne à connaître les autres membres, au-delà du cadre strict des projets.
En résumé
Hydrovinci, c’est deux projets ambitieux, deux compétitions internationales (Monaco et les États-Unis), et une communauté d’étudiants soudée. Rejoins la famille Hydro !
Who are we?
Hydrovinci is the naval construction association of Pôle Léonard de Vinci, founded in 2017 by engineering students at ESILV. Made up entirely of students, it has one clear ambition: to bring together passionate people around a concrete, meaningful project. From design to launch, we build, we test, we improve, together.
Project #1 — Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC)
Our founding project involves developing an alternative to conventional propulsion systems, envisioning the yachting of the future powered by renewable energy. The culmination of a year’s work: a week of competition in Monaco, where our boat is put to the test across four events : slalom, endurance, speed, and the championship’s final race, where boats compete head-to-head in pairs.
Project #2 — HYDRA (MATE ROV Competition)
Our second project takes us to the United States, as part of the MATE ROV Competition, an international underwater robotics competition that brings together university and school teams from around the world each year. The goal: to design and build a ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) capable of collecting samples in amphibious environments using a bionic robotic arm. Throughout the year, the team works on embedded electronics, mechanics, programming, and piloting, before defending their project in front of a technical jury at the competition.
A team, not just a project
Beyond the technical side, Hydrovinci aims to build genuine cohesion among its members. Throughout the year, events are organized so everyone can get to know the other members beyond the strict framework of the projects, because a united team is also the key to successful projects.
