For the 7th year running, De Vinci Higher Education is extending its climate awareness programme for first-year students at the start of the 2025 academic year. More than 1,200 students from the three schools are taking part in the ‘Fresque du Climat’ workshop as part of their induction week.
Since 2018, De Vinci Higher Education has been mobilising EMLV, ESILV and IIM students around environmental issues from the moment they arrive on campus. A forerunner in this field, it was the first higher education establishment to roll out the Fresque du Climat workshop on a large scale, in conjunction with the national launch of the initiative. This collective, interdisciplinary and pedagogical approach is part of a process of hybridisation of skills and development of soft skills, at the heart of the schools’ educational project.
In 2025, the Fresque remains a key part of the back-to-school calendar, now integrated into a wider range of initiatives on ecological and societal transition. Supervised by trained facilitators, the workshop brings together the new classes in teams to work on the links between human activities, greenhouse gas emissions, global impacts and levers for action. This introductory session opens up a cycle of multi-disciplinary themed projects throughout the year, including hackathons, weeks dedicated to biodiversity and modules on energy efficiency.
