Student projects are at the heart of ESILV’s teaching approach. Each year of their course, engineering students work in teams (of 5 to 6 students depending on the year) on a major project.
During their studies, they develop technical skills, but also learn to work in teams over the long term, manage difficulties and conflicts, and manage a project throughout its entire duration. The topics offered each year are, of course, tailored to this development of skills.
In years 4 and 5, projects are proposed by a “partner” (company, association, research laboratory). The teams are in a service provision situation, and the partner monitors them throughout the project before evaluating the final result at the end of the project.
The Industrial Innovation Project 5, or PI²5, takes place in the final year of the engineering program at ESILV, a general engineering school focused on digital technologies.
Around fifty Year 5 teams will present their projects during a showroom event on January 22.
The technical associations of De Vinci Higher Education (automotive, maritime, aeronautics, cybersecurity, blockchain) and the Junior Enterprise, which are heavily involved in ESILV projects, will also present their projects and achievements.
