As a phenomenon, TM is rather new and controversial in the emerging-market context, and despite the amount of research devoted to TM practices, there is little said about how TM influences CA in emerging-market firms. This study explores the peculiarities of TM practices in Russian companies and empirically proves a positive relationship between TM practices and CA in the emerging-market context. The article identifies a number of specific TM practices that influence CA. We argue that succession planning and career development have the greatest impact on CA in Russian firms.},

abstract = {There have been many initiatives and policy commitments in natural capital accounting in the recent years. Based on a survey for statistical offices, ministries and independent experts worldwide, we provide some preliminary evidence that there is very little use of natural capital accounts for public policy decisions and, more so, in developing countries. The most relevant obstacles are the lack of political support by key people and institutional leadership unable to promote policy use by other ministries. Concerning developing countries, the factor which is considered as the most relevant in preventing the use of natural capital accounts for policy making is the stage of development of the country. In addition, respondents from statistical institutes and developing countries are firstly, concerned about institutional obstacles and secondly, about data availability and cooperation. Respondents from ministries and independent experts are particularly concerned about design obstacles. Not many accounts may be available to be used in the policy-making process due to data gaps, design challenges and the required investment, the problem being more acute in developing countries. A key result of the survey is the need to evaluate the added value of natural capital accounts with respect to statistics.},

A qualitative research design, via semi-structured interviews, was adopted with a group of respondents composed of undergraduate and postgraduate students who were enrolled in online, hybrid and face-to-face programs. Coding, categorization and thematic analysis of the interviews resulted in seven value dimensions, with their "Get" and "Give" components, of the dynamic learning experience. The study highlights the importance of each value dimension in relation to the stage of the learner experience, namely, prior to, during and after the delivery. Our research extends current e-learning perceived value research and frameworks. It utilised internalisation theory to explain the internationalisation of Chinese state-owned enterprises. This paper showed that we had failed to ask sufficiently challenging questions about the effects of home country institutions on outward foreign direct investment (OFDI). This Retrospective builds on the extensive subsequent research to show the importance of context in constructing satisfactory theoretical explanations of OFDI. Building on these foundations, we propose research challenges for the next decade on Chinese OFDI that transcend the Chinese context and have wider theoretical applicability. Examining alternative forms of social and economic organisation allows the creation of special theories of foreign direct investment nested within the general theory. Following such a strategy would enable International Business research to make a contribution across the social sciences.},

Next, it describes the latest developments in vehicular networks, the axes of research concerning the layered architecture of the IoV and an overview of the work being conducted pertaining to multi?hop and reactive routing protocols. The chapter further gives a detailed explanation of the authors' routing protocol for IoV communications. This is made up of three different phases: the estimation of contact duration and load balancing, the use and updating of communication anomaly logs and hop?by?hop routing calculation. The goal of the routing algorithm proposed is to find a solution for one?to?one communications between a mobile source and a fixed or a mobile source, via intermediary vehicles, as part of the application of the IoV on a one?dimensional plane.},

Multisource, time-lagged data from employees and their supervisors in Pakistani organizations show that an important reason that dispositional envy may diminish job performance is that employees develop beliefs that their organization is unfair in its information provision. This mediating role of informational unfairness is particularly salient to the extent that employees perceive that the organizational decision-making climate is marked by dysfunctional politics. The study informs organizations how they can mitigate the risk that persistent feelings of envy lead to negative performance outcomes?that is, by avoiding work climates that are highly political in nature.},

For such tasks, one successful approach is to condition image-based convolutional network computation on language via Feature-wise Linear Modulation (FiLM) layers, i.e., per-channel scaling and shifting. By alternating between attending to the language input and generating FiLM layer parameters, this approach is better able to scale to settings with longer input sequences such as dialogue. We demonstrate that multi-hop FiLM generation significantly outperforms prior state-of-the-art on the GuessWhat?! visual dialogue task and matches state-of-the art on the ReferIt object retrieval task, and we provide additional qualitative analysis.},

Employing a matching-based methodology and correcting for selection bias, we show that public support causes an increase of 16.27% of export intensity and a 25% increase in the probability of turning to export. We investigate for the first time the interaction between firm characteristics and the nature of public support. Only financial and innovation support increase export intensity while only network related support impacts the probability of exporting. Public support significantly impacts only profit-making firms and firms situated in an internationally exposed environment. This study fills an important gap in the literature by providing evidence that firms in the sector of services do benefit from public support, as opposed to manufacturing firms.},

Surgical site infection (SSI) in spinal metastasis surgery represents the most common postoperative surgical complication with high morbidity and mortality.
Objective
This study aims to evaluate the incidence of SSI in spinal metastasis surgery and its risk factors.
Study Design
This is a retrospective analysis of a prospectively collected data.
Methods
Preoperative, operative, and postoperative data were collected together with the modified Tokuhashi score and Frankel score at all time checkpoints. Surgical site infection was divided into superficial and deep SSI, as well as early (<90 days) and late SSI. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors, with p<.05 as significance threshold.
Results
A total of 297 patients were included, with an incidence of SSI of 5.1% (superficial SSI: 3.4%; deep SSI: 1.7 %). Cervicothoracic surgery was associated with the highest incidence of SSI, whereas cervical surgery had the lowest incidence. Smoking, higher number of spinal metastasis, elevated body mass index (BMI), and higher ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologist) score were the preoperative factors associated with increased risk of SSI. Increased intraoperative blood loss and increased number of fixed vertebra increased the SSI incidence. SSI increased hospital stay by a mean of 12 days. When all these variables are analyzed in a multiple regression model, only surgical time?4 hours and ASA?3 were found to be independent risk factors for the occurrence of SSI.
Conclusion
This paper represents the largest series of spinal metastasis with a mean incidence of SSI of 5.1%. Smoking, higher BMI, higher number of spinal metastasis, higher ASA score, higher number of fused vertebra, intraoperative bleeding?2000?mL, and neurologic deterioration are risk factors for SSI occurrence. Only ASA?3 and operative duration?4 hours are independent risk factors for this complication occurrence. Finally, SSI occurrence is associated with increased hospital stay, increased 30-day mortality rate, and decreased survival rates.},

Le caractère bienveillant, empathique et non compétitif du groupe exclusivement féminin facilite, pour certaines femmes candidates à la création, la déconstruction de stéréotypes de genre sur l'entrepreneuriat féminin et atténue le sentiment de culpabilité lié à la difficulté à concilier projet entrepreneurial et vie familiale. abstract = {To help the fight against climate change, the Kigali deal has planned to eliminate hydrofluorocarbon's use (HFC) in industrial systems. HFCs are powerful greenhouse gases with a high global warming potential. Moreover, HFCs are commonly used as refrigerant within secondary refrigeration processes for cold production. A solution to limit their negative environmental impact would be to reduce the amount of HFC by using a phase change slurries (PCS) in the secondary loop. A PCS is composed of solid phase change particles (solid-liquid) in a liquid transportation phase. Clathrate hydrates are crystalline particles where gas molecules are trapped in water cages. Due to their high energy densities, hydrate slurries, in particular CO2 hydrates, are relevant two-phase secondary fluids because they enhance the energy efficiency of secondary refrigeration systems. In this study, the rheological behaviour of CO2 hydrate slurries in various experimental conditions on a dynamic loop for cold distribution was investigated. An exhaustive state-of-the-art on the rheological studies of hydrate slurries in aqueous solution has pointed out that hydrate slurries are non-Newtonian fluids. However, the rheological behaviour could be different for a same kind of hydrate slurry according to the literature. Moreover, the literature review also highlighted that the most used measurement method for the apparent viscosity is the capillary viscometer. We used a semi-empirical Herschel-Bulkley's model for determining the apparent viscosity of the CO2 hydrate slurry as a function of the hydrate slurry fraction. This work is primordial for designing and sizing a new efficient refrigeration system based on this innovative material.},

abstract = {Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to identify key factors that influence the integration process in cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals of emerging multinational enterprises (EMNEs). The research questions are: how national and organizational culture coupled with other organizational characteristics influence M&A deals of EMNEs? Which factors influence the process of cultural and organizational integration in cross-border M&A deals, initiated by EMNEs? What is the effect and consequences that different integration factors have on cross-border M&A deals by EMNEs?
Design/methodology/approach
The paper is based on a multiple case study research, considering cross-border deals of Chinese and Russian firms separately. Each block consists of two cases, describing M&A integration of companies operating in two sectors: high technology and finance. The authors obtained the data for case studies from companies' official websites, annual reports, press releases, other official documents where companies were mentioned, business-media sources (newspapers and magazines), published interviews, documented speeches, letters, laws, as well as through blogs and social networks. The authors have also used the published information from articles, books, databases, and previously conducted case studies.
Findings
The authors have identified the factors influencing deals' results of Chinese and Russian MNEs, with explanation based on case studies' analysis. The full list of factors is presented in Table IV in the manuscript. The authors have also identified the set of elements that were derived from the case studies' analysis only, without having any strong support in the literature, such as changes at a senior management level, educational and business exchanges, CSR policy, and the government involvement.
Originality/value
The authors have identified the key factors that influence integration of emerging market firms in cross-border M&A deal. The list of factors was adjusted and actualized in accordance with the results of four cases of cross-border M&A deals of Chinese or Russian companies. As a result, the authors founded the combination of characteristics of cultural and organizational integration process of firms from China and Russia.},

Contrary to these claims, we find no evidence that fund managers adjust market exposure in anticipation of market liquidity changes. We find rather strong evidence that fund managers successfully overweight small stocks asmarket liquidity increases. Our study also demonstrates that it is easy to misidentify SIZE liquidity timing asMARKET liquidity timing in models that focus only on MARKET liquidity timing.},

Our model exhibits important features: first, instantaneous volatility can be uniformly bounded away from zero, and second, our model is mathematically and computationally tractable, thereby enabling an efficient pricing procedure. This called for using the Lie symmetries theory for PDEs; doing so allowed us to extend known results on Bessel processes. Finally, we provide an exact simulation scheme for the model; this is useful in view of the numerical applications.},

abstract = {By underlining the relevance of the use of ICTs, knowledge sharing and electronic markets for SMEs, it emerges the need for stimulating a debate on digitisation process of supply chain management (SCM).
