abstract = {The Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) represents an important factor of smart cities through which Internet access can be offered to vehicular networks to store and download content via mobile gateways. The deployment of this service is focused on the exchange and the share of information between network entities. However, selfish nodes are an obstacle in a totally distributed network. As a solution, a compensation could be provided to the vehicles that are willing to participate in VCC or to become an Internet gateway, while preserving their anonymity. Different credit-based incentive schemes are discussed in this paper. A scenario based on the Blockchain technology which implements a virtual payment service for the VCC members, for the resource consumption and for the gateway service in V2V routing mode, is proposed.},

abstract = {Destructive changes and breakthrough innovations are embraced in the development of Internet of Things (IoTs). These network-connected smart devices or machine-learning algorithms transfer information on consumers to the Internet by small sensors and computing processors. Companies thus track consumers' behaviour and offer personalised products and services. However, consumers are still sceptical in using these devices due to privacy risks and a dearth of awareness about the technologies' perceived value. Therefore, to overcome these barriers, the research seeks to measure the relationships among the elements that affect customers' willingness and decisions to use IoTs-based products. On the basis of motivation theories, two categories of motivational factors are individuated: extrinsic factors such as entertainment and social interaction and intrinsic factors such as information acquisition, privacy risk, and technology readiness level. They are analysed using a sample of 782 early-adopter customers in Italy. The aim is to offer an explorative, quantitative study on the IoTs to enhance the existing knowledge and support business in the process of engaging more users and creating new personalised products. In line with this, the study's implications, limits, and recommendations for further research are presented.},

abstract = {The Problem
The overall ability to create and transfer knowledge is one of the main competitive advantages for companies from emerging economies and becomes their performance driver. As human resource development (HRD) and talent development (TD), in particular, aim to extend employees' capabilities related to innovative thinking, creativity, and their key competences, which can be necessary for knowledge creation and development, TD can be associated with a firm's absorptive capacity; however, their relationship remains underresearched. Although some studies claim about grounds for absorptive capacity, lack of analysis of absorptive capacity dimensions, specified as knowledge acquisition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation, and its connection to TD in the emerging market context can be observed especially with the relationship to firm performance in Russia.
The Solution
We investigate the influence of TD on firm's absorptive capacity in emerging market contexts, more specifically in Russia, and confirm the link between TD in Russia and knowledge assimilation, knowledge transformation, knowledge exploitation, and knowledge acquisition.
The Stakeholders
We show the new perspective of talent management, in general, and TD, in particular, for HRD area, showing the leading role of TD in emerging market contexts that should be in a primary agenda for both researchers and practitioners.},

abstract = {Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a new statistical approach to evaluate complex open innovation projects on a quantitative basis. In certain circumstances, open innovation entails a radical change of policy that involves various different functions of a company such as R&D, production, and management over a period of years and gives rise to mechanisms of mutual interaction with several business partners, such as collaboration with other companies, universities and R&D institutions, and new suppliers. Then, the question arises of how to measure the impact of such complex open innovation processes on the overall performances of companies. Design/methodology/approach A holistic case study is applied to analyze the effect of open innovation projects on a corporate company's stock price dynamics. The scope is to identify two different scenarios pre- and post-adoption of an open innovation model by a multinational company, Fujifilm. In particular, a stochastic model, namely the log-normal model, is applied along with three statistical tests: Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Cramer von Mises, and F-test for equal variances, in order to verify if the adoption of an open innovation model causes any significant change in the stock price dynamics of the corporate company. Findings From the findings emerges evidence that open innovation projects have a moderate effect on Fujifilm's stock price dynamics, but a greater improvement of the perception of Fujifilm's stock value. This enhances the management and financial literature review by offering a novel, empirical perspective on the effect of the adoption of an open innovation model on a corporate company's stock price dynamics. Research limitations/implications This research is limited to a single case study, but it can be extended to other stock market companies and therefore improve on the present study. Originality/value An original application of Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests to detect and measure the differences between the two regimes of pre-open innovation and post-innovation regimes.},

abstract = {Reflecting world-wide interest on abusive supervision and its detrimental consequences on individuals, and organizations, the four papers in the present symposium will address the antecedents and outcomes of this phenomenon. Collectively, these papers tackle abuse from intrapersonal, interpersonal. and group-level processes. Presenters from the USA and Australia also provide an international perspective on this matter. In Paper 1, the authors present results of an empirical study examining how employees who perceive abusive supervision and customer misstatement will engage in customer and spouse- directed deviance. The authors of Paper 2 present a conceptual piece that highlights the buffering role of team-member exchange on employees' negative affective reaction to and coping (via emotion-focused and problem-focused strategies) with abusive supervision. Paper 3 is a two-wave empirical study, where the authors explore the role of work adjustment as a mediator on the influence of abusive supervision on migrant workers' job satisfaction and turnover intentions. The final paper is interactive. During the symposium, the authors will first review perpetrator and victim characteristics of abusive supervision. Audience members will then be divided into three focus groups to discuss theoretical, empirical and methodological concepts related to these characteristics. The session will end with recommendations from the authors for promising future research directions.},

The emergence of a new international business school in Togo is analyzed from a business network perspective. The establishment of key interorganizational relations thanks to signs of institutional and individual trust participates in the emergence of a new organization in an environment characterized by strong barriers to entry (national and international accreditations, media rankings, etc.). The application of theories borrowed from business networks and international entrepreneurship in the higher education sector is an original contribution to the research. Our results are focused on the emergence phase of the business network and greatly enrich the works that are more dedicated to the network consolidation phase.},

abstract = {This study unpacks the relationship between family incivility and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), suggesting a mediating role of emotional exhaustion and moderating roles of waypower and willpower, two critical dimensions of hope. Three-wave data from employees and their peers in Pakistani organizations show that an important reason that family incivility diminishes OCB is that employees become emotionally overextended by their work. Employees' waypower and willpower buffer this harmful effect of family incivility on emotional exhaustion though, such that this effect is mitigated when the two personal resources are high. The study also reveals the presence of moderated mediation, such that the indirect effect of family incivility on OCB through emotional exhaustion is weaker for employees high in waypower and willpower. For organizations, this study accordingly identifies a key mechanism by which family adversity can undermine voluntary behaviors; this mechanism is less forceful among employees who are more hopeful though.},

Like the other 3-PPPS robots studied in the literature, it is proved that the parallel singularities depend only on the orientation of the end-effector. The quaternion parameters are used to represent the singularity surfaces. The study of the direct kinematic model shows that this robot admits a self-motion of the Cardanic type. This explains why the direct kinematic model admits an infinite number of solutions in the center of the workspace at the ?home? position but has never been studied until now.},

abstract = {Constraint programming (CP) and propositional satisfiabil- ity (SAT) based framework for modeling and solving pattern mining tasks has gained a considerable audience in recent years. However, this nice declarative and generic framework encounters a scaling problem. The huge size of constraints networks/propositional formulas encoding large datasets is identified as the main bottleneck of most existing ap- proaches. In this paper, we propose a parallel SAT based framework for itemset mining problem to push forward the solving efficiency. The pro- posed approach is based on a divide-and-conquer paradigm, where the transaction database is partitioned using item-based guiding paths. Such decomposition allows us to derive smaller and independent Boolean for- mulas that can be solved in parallel. The performance and scalability of the proposed algorithm are evaluated through extensive experiments on several datasets. We demonstrate that our partition-based parallel SAT approach outperforms other CP approaches even in the sequential case, while significantly reducing the performances gap with specialized approaches},

abstract = {Recently, a new declarative mining framework based on constraint programming (CP) and propositional satisfiability (SAT) has been designed to deal with several pattern mining tasks. The itemset mining problem has been modeled using constraints whose models cor- respond to the patterns to be mined. In this paper, we propose a new propositional satisfiability based approach for mining maximal frequent itemsets that extends the one proposed in [20]. We show that instead of adding constraints to the initial SAT based itemset mining encoding, the maximal itemsets can be obtained by performing clause learning during search. A major strength of our approach rises in the compactness of the proposed encoding and the efficiency of the SAT-based maximal itemsets enumeration derived using blocked clauses. Experimental results on several datasets, show the feasibility and the efficiency of our approach},

abstract = {Gas hydrates are regarded as promising materials for various potential applications. In particular, CO2 hydrates are known for their cold storage capacities, related to their high latent heat of melting. They could be used as high efficiency Phase Change Materials in Phase Change Slurries for secondary refrigeration loops. A better understanding of the crystallization mechanism of CO2 hydrates in slurries and of the resulting formation kinetics is still needed to evaluate and improve the efficiency of hydrate-based secondary refrigeration process. For that purpose, in the present work the real-time evolution of CO2 concentration in the liquid phase was measured in situ during hydrate formation. CO2 hydrates were formed within a stirred reactor equipped with an Attenuated Total Reflection probe coupled with a Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy analyzer. By comparing the measured concentration to calculations based on the assumptions of (a) a liquidvapor equilibrium (LVE) and (b) a hydrate-liquid equilibrium (HLE), it was deduced that the crystallization kinetic is limited by CO2 transfers from the vapor phase to the liquid phase, whatever the experimental conditions tested. As soon as hydrates start forming, the CO2 concentration in the liquid phase almost instantaneously reaches the hydrate-vapor equilibrium (HVE) value at the experimental temperature, while the reactor pressure slowly decreases towards the LVE value defined by Henry's law. Different stirring speeds were experimented in order to check the effect of enhancing CO2 dissolution during hydrate formation. This resulted in faster dissolution of CO2, though still transfer-limited formation kinetics.},

It explains specifics of HRM in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) context in general and in Belarus, Ukraine and Russia in particular, reflecting the main peculiarities of recruitment, training, development, performance management and motivation, allowing people to draw conclusions about HRM orientation and focus in CIS countries. The major 'providers' of these practices are European multinational corporations (MNCs), which, on the one hand, transfer knowledge to CIS countries and, on the other, meet context-related challenges including historical development, norms, traditions, cultures and behaviour. Surprisingly they have not been a very popular setting for management research, but are of high interest to European firms looking to do business in those countries. European MNCs act as a crucial channel through which indigenous businesses tend to adopt new practices.},
