Anna Carmella Ocampo

My research examines how the interplay of traits, emotional abilities, and social contexts support or stifle the goal pursuit efforts of people from traditionally minoritized backgrounds. To address these objectives, I employ a combination of systematic reviews, experimental studies as well as time-lagged and multi-source field studies across ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations. Collectively, my research program demonstrates that helping people cultivate a positive understanding of their identities can facilitate a sense of belonging, which may enhance their sustained and meaningful engagement in the workplace.
