ESILV is a general engineering school at the heart of digital technologies. It recruits at the Baccalaureate level as well as at the CPGE level and trains operational engineers who fit perfectly into the professional world.
ESILV’s pedagogical project is based on digital sciences and technologies as well as a strong transversal approach with 20% of its curriculum in common with a management school (EMLV) and a digital school (IIM), including a 5-year double-degree Engineer Manager program. Specializations include finance (financial engineering, actuarial science and fintech), IT (Data & AI, Connected Objects & Security, Cybersecurity & Cloud Computing), mechanics (Modeling & Digital Mechanics, Industry 4.0), energy (Energy & Sustainable Cities) and health (Health Biotech). It also offers two Bachelors degrees in Digital Engineering and in Technology & Management.
ESILV is a member of the CGE, UGEI, CDEFI, Campus France and Talents du Numérique.
Reporting to the Director of ESILV, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of the department, the permanent teaching staff, the pedagogical resources, the equipments and the life of the department. As a teacher-researcher, he or she will be a member of the finance group of the De Vinci Research Center (DVRC) within the Pôle Léonard de Vinci and will teach in the master’s program of the engineering program.
VOS MISSIONS :
Successful candidates will be located in our Paris La Défense campus. The main responsibilities of the appointee include the following:
1/ Department manager
– Recruiting teachers and teacher-researchers, managing the department’s human resources (interviews, evaluations, objectives, etc.), leading department meetings
– Organize and lead the activities of the teaching teams in terms of methods and engineering
– Monitor pedagogical methods and pre-ESILV training.
– elaboration with the school management, the referents and the heads of majors, the pedagogical programs
– Participate in the implementation of transverse student projects, in partnership with industrialists
– Develop cooperation projects, particularly in the context of Erasmus exchanges or Double Degree programs
– Participate in the development of corporate relations
– Develop and implement cross-disciplinary projects within the cluster
– Participate in the various ESILV coordination bodies
– Implement the quality approach for continuous improvement and participate in the preparation of accreditation files
– Establish the reporting of activities to the school’s management
2/ Teaching
– Teach courses and follow up on student projects
– Take responsibility for courses and coordinate a team of lecturers
– Carry out the academic follow-up of students
– Advising students
– Participate in collective discussions on program changes and improving the quality of teaching
3/ Research
– Develop research within the DVRC and publish articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals
– Initiate research collaborations with DVRC members and/or partner laboratories
– Participate in the activities of the research laboratory (seminars, meetings)
– Present research results within the laboratory, in conferences and congresses
– Participate in the search for funded research projects
4/ Transversal activities
– Involvement in ESILV’s promotional campaigns for young people and families (fairs, forums, conferences, press)
– Participate in the development of teaching and research collaborations
– Participate in the development of transversal activities between the different schools of the association Léonard de Vinci.
VOTRE PROFIL :
The department has 9 permanent staff (professors and teachers) who divide the responsibilities of teaching finance couses in the following areas :
– Market finance
– Actuarial science
– Fintech (financial technology, cryptography applied to finance)
We are seeking a teacher-researcher in finance with research experience in line with the DVRC’s strategic development areas.
– Environmental impact of organizations, systems and society
– Data science, digital transformation and complex systems
A qualification to direct research will be appreciated.
The incumbent will be appreciated on:
– The management of the department,
– The cooperation with the support services in terms of representation and transverse activities,
– The quality of the teaching provided,
– The good management of the students’ follow-up,
– The productivity in scientific research.
